Just before delivery, the finished cut logs, which are approx 8 to 10" in length, are then hand selected and placed into the builder's bags and other pack sizes before being delivered to you the customer.
We also include offcuts which are useful for kindling and re-kindling. These fill the spaces between the logs and do not detract from the amount of good logs in the bag.
A tribute to Helmut.
Helmut Seidel, shown in the picture, passed away in 2008 and has been sadly missed. He worked for the estate for nearly 20 years since retiring from coal mining.
He was a tremendous asset to the estate and his hard work and dedication was very much appreciated. He took great pride in maintaining the large acreage of beautiful lawns as well as many other tasks around the estate.
In 2009 his family planted a rowan tree overlooking the lawns so that his memory will live on in Champfleurie for many years to come.
