If you are burning wood in a stove, it really should be dry. 25% is the maximum water content for efficient wood burning.
Our Log Store has been designed to keep your finished logs from us dry and well-aired.
It is also ideal for natural drying of freshly sawn timber as quickly as possible and dependent upon type of wood diameter and length, split or not split, this process can take anywhere between six and twenty-four months.
Dry wood is a must for any type of wood burning. You must either buy pre-dried timber (which is what we sell here from the estate) and keep it dry, or season your own.
The Log Store has been designed in a modular fashion, therefore facillitating both types of approach.
A single log store holds approximately 1.5 cubic metres of logs, if you are buying pre-dried timber this may be adequate for your needs, however, if you are naturally seasoning larger quantities just join two or more together side by side or back to back.
Coated with wood preservative for long life. Supplied with pre-fitted felt shingle roof tiles.
Remember burning dry wood will give you efficient, cost effective heating.
