Our Verdo wood pellets will reduce the amount of bedding material required and reduce the cost by between 30 and 50% compared to sawdust or woodshavings.
A single 15kg bag of wood pellets is equivalent to 2-3 bales of traditional wood shavings and is much more absorbent than woodchips, wood shavings or straw.
Manufactured in Central Scotland from pure wood with no contaminants. Contains no chemical additives, the natural lignin of the wood acts as a binder. Minimal dust.
The pellets have been heated to a high temperature to remove possible allergens thus making it entirely safe for your horse.
Advantages:- High absorbency - less dust and risk of allergies - odour free.
Makes a firm, fine texture, safe bed which sifts easily to remove dung, therefore reducing cleaning time.
Space saving - minimal storage space required. Reduced consumption resulting in much smaller midden.

How to Use:
Preparing a new bed - See video below, alternatively:
1. Spread enough pellets across the stable floor to leave an even thickness of about 5cm (2")
2. Sprinkle water evenly over the pellets (approx 2 litres per 15 kg bag) and mix with a fork.
3. After 30 minutes you should have a pleasant fluffy bed for your horse.
Maintaining the bed
1. Remove manure and wet patches as required and replenish with extra pellets and sprinkle them with water to maintain the thickness and animal comfort. Usually requires a single 15kg bag of pellets per week for an average 13' x 13' horse stall.
2. Strip and re-lay each stall every 2-3 months or when deemed necessary.
